Our adoption program is thoughtfully designed to ensure that every cat finds a loving home where they can flourish. We work tirelessly to provide a caring atmosphere for these felines, and we invite you to explore our adoption options to find the perfect match to complete your family. Together, we can give these cats the supportive homes they deserve.
ADOPTION FEE

Why Do We Charge A Fee?
Adoption fees help cover the medical care of QT Cats while they wait for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The fee also acts as a donation to help support our rescue, allowing us to continue our efforts to rescue and rehome cats.

Adoption Success Stories

“Andrea and the Queenstown Cat Community are just amazing. They helped us look after a family of cats that appeared on our doorstep. Massive help with getting them all de-sexed and looking after the ones that had become pregnant before it was possible to de-sex them. Andrea’s tireless engagement looking after the ones needing help as well as all of the other community help going on is truly inspirational. The unconditional care and empathy for both cats and people in their community is truly wonderful.”

Adoption Success Stories

Hello there, my name is Frosty. Aka Jack Frost, Brr-brr, Far-Bar.. I was happily living alone in the mean-fields of Speargrass Flats one evening when I was spotted by one of my hoomins as she drove home. I foolishly fell for her tempting food and got myself caught in her cat-trap. I was taken to QTCats HQ, where I was given warmth, food, and love, to which I responded with a hiss and a purr. I was introduced to a small tuxedo girl who took me under her paw, and I slowly realised that some hoomins can be nice. The hoomin who trapped me came back to visit me a couple of days later and took me back to my new home in Dalefield. I met my Big Favourite Person ever, and my Small Favourite Person ever, and I soon realised that I didn’t need to hiss at them, and that toys are very fun to play with. I also realised that I have a voice and have not stopped using it since. My favourite words are Brr and Brr. I love food. So so much food.

“Hi, my name is Misty! Aka Mystic, Moo-Moo, Meowstiquy… I managed to find my way somehow into the gardens of QTCats HQ, where I was deftly swept up and taken into the warmth. I was clearly a very sociable little lady right from the start and captured the hearts of many hoomins who met me. When my brother-from-another-mother Frosty arrived at HQ we were introduced, and from that day on we’ve been inseparable. We both went home to Dalefield with our new family in April. We settled in quickly, and now we rule the roost, under the close eye of our Big Sister Gracie. She’s an older girl who makes sure we stay in line when we try to steal her food or her bed. We’re quietly persistent, but respectful, and usually back away when she hisses. We love our Big Hoomins and the Little Hoomin, and we are showered with affection, toys and food..”
