Easter Fun at QT Community Cats

What an incredible Easter celebration it was at QT Community Cats!

In just two short hours, our cattery was transformed into a hub of laughter, connection, and community spirit — and thanks to all of you, we raised an amazing $1,500 to support the cats in our care.

That’s a huge win, and we couldn’t be more grateful — especially considering the rainy weather on the day, which makes the turnout and support even more special.

A Day Packed with Fun 🎉

From start to finish, the energy was high and the smiles were everywhere — especially from our youngest visitors!

Our kids’ games were a massive hit, with plenty of excitement (and a little healthy competition!) throughout the day:

• Easter egg hunt

• Egg and spoon race

• Musical statues

• Lolly scramble

• And the crowd favourite… the Easter catwalk, where creativity and cuteness stole the show

Not to be outdone, the adults got stuck in too! The dance competition brought some serious moves (and plenty of laughs), while the bunny hop race proved that you’re never too old to embrace a bit of Easter silliness.

Sweet Treats & Community Vibes 🍰

The bake sale stall was hugely popular throughout the event. From delicious homemade goodies to sweet treats, it kept everyone fuelled while raising vital funds for our cats.

Kitten Cuddles in the Therapy Room 🐾

The therapy room was open to visitors too with everyone enjoying some kitten cuddles. The room was filled with gentle purring, tiny paws, and lots of smiles.

The Heart Behind the Day 💛

A massive shoutout to Cara, who did a fantastic job as our MC — keeping the day running smoothly, bringing the energy, and making sure everyone felt part of the fun.

A special thank you to Marin, our wonderful Easter Bunny, and Andrea for hosting and helping create such a fun, welcoming atmosphere.

Thank you too to our sponsors for donating such wonderful prizes and to local businesses for the invaluable last-minute gazebos to keep volunteers sheltered from the weather.
